Joe Notebaert: Founder & Head Instructor

Joe Notebaert is a distinguished Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner from Phoenix, Arizona, USA. After dedicating 9.5 years to training at the Roger Gracie Academy in London, UK, he earned his black belt from Cesar Lima and was officially recognized by Roger Gracie in 2017. Notebaert’s competitive achievements include being a two-time World Champion, securing gold medals at the purple and brown belt levels in the masters featherweight category in 2013 and 2017, respectively. He also claimed victory at the 2013 European Championships in the Gi category and won a No-Gi gold medal in 2012, both in the purple belt featherweight division. In addition to his competitive success, Joe is also the founder of Mallorca BJJ, establishing the first school in 2018 in El Toro.
